Katie Daw

Product Designer

I've devoted myself to product design because it's the perfect confluence of psychology and artistry. In a constantly shifting technological atmosphere, how can digital products fit human behavior like a glove?

I love nothing more than taking a traditionally difficult process and polishing it until people say, "Wow, that was way easier than I expected."

I've worked in many industries, from animation to game design to video tech. On the surface these are all pretty different-- but the common thread between all of them is the need to remove the barrier between people and their devices. Here you'll see a showcase of my work to date. Every project represents a user that I've helped or a business goal that I've helped achieve. Peruse at your leisure, and contact me if you want to build something beautiful together!

Incredible presentation skills!

I used to be an animator and still enjoy whipping out my motion design skills whenever possible πŸ’ͺ

IMO the biggest accessibility issue with presentations is how boring they are, so I'm a big proponent of unexpected silliness.

At the time of winter Hack Week 2021, there were whispers that JW Player was in the conceptual stages of an e-learning platform. I really really really wanted to work on it so I flexed super hard in an effort to be the most obvious guy for the job.

PS: I WON despite not knowing how to code πŸ†

PPS: I kept winning so consistently that they had to change the prize categories to make sure engineers had a fair shot πŸ’…

"It's not fair!Β Katie had multiple actors, including a professor, and a cameo from... Plato?"
